I lived in Okinawa, Japan for a year, and I experienced that reverse culture shock when I came home. I wanted to go back almost immediately.
I can't BELIEVE I've found another American woman married to an Indian man! That type of pairing is indeed rare.

And about Americans married to Indians... we exist.. but true not so many of us are so public about it!!
